Who is Wondercap Shower Drains?
Wondercap USA Inc. is an Australian owned and operated business formed to provide plumbing solution products for the plumbing and drainage industry. We entered the United States market in 2017 after recognizing that our product/s help eliminate the same problems faced by the Australian market. Although Australia and the United States face the same problems, each country’s shower drains are completely different in design and installation. We redesigned the patented and revolutionary product to meet the needs of the United States construction industry and the different methods of waterproofing. Your shower drain is made from ABS so why is it not a black pipe?
All plastic & ABS in their original form are the same colour and before they are moulded the colour is added. White ABS has the same properties as Black ABS, they glue the same, they fit the same, and they perform the same!
What type of glue do I use?
If the pipework is ABS black or white then we recommend using PVC solvent glue and cleaner for the pipe & as well as our ABS Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain.

Can I use a linear drain with the Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain?
All shower drain finishes can be used with the Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain. That's right, round, square, linear, tile-insert, the list goes on and on. All Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain's include a reducing bush, allowing you to fit any 4" shower finish on the market that you would like to use with the Wondercap System.
What comes with the Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain?
A chrome brass strainer (available in round or square) to provide a durable, high quality finish
A disposable dust cap that prevents the entry of mortar and grout
A reducing bush provided for connections with a linear drain
An adjustable base to achieve accurate pre-slope and tiling levels by adjusting to required mortar bedding heights
A test plug to flood test the shower pan liner connection

What is a test plug?
A test plug is included with every Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain. It allows you to flood test the shower pan liner connection and make sure that it is watertight.
What makes the Wondercap All-In-One Shower Drain different from traditional shower drains?
We provide the only shower drain on the market that has been designed and engineered to make tiling, bedding, waterproofing, and the installation of waterproofing methods easier. Unlike other shower drains on the market, our product caters to all types of shower pan liners and waterproofing methods.
How is your shower drain hygienic and strain resistant and why are other shower drains not?
We manufacturer our products from the latest materials available to make our plumbing products. These materials include polypropylene with its natural non-stick stain resistance properties and we add anti-bacterial additives during the injection moulding process to create the most hygienic shower drain available with the highest levels of performance that will last the lifetime!
Someone recommended your Wondercap Shower Drain for my next shower rebuild because my last shower drain continually blocked up? Why is your drain so much better?
Good question! Traditional shower drains have the capacity to slowly drain away as you have experienced. The shower water is restricted by the narrow shower drain outlet from the grate / strainer to the 2” outlet. This design creates blockages, collects debris during installation, and eventually collects hair and blocks up. The Wondercap is like a race car, in fact a very good race car, designed from the top to the bottom to increase performance of the draining water, reduce drag, maximizing the flow rates, and be self-cleaning as it drains your shower. The performance calculations are amazing.
